Economic Cooperation Organization

The Secretary General of the ECO, H.E. Ambassador Khusrav Noziri, has said that fostering economic cooperation among its Member States is an integral part of ECO’s agenda for sustainable development. The ECO Secretary General, during a dialogue with the UN Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC), highlighted some of the shared goals of ECO Vision 2025 and UN Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development.

The Secretary General of the ECO, H.E. Ambassador Khusrav Noziri, has said that fostering economic cooperation among its Member States is an integral part of ECO’s agenda for sustainable development. The ECO Secretary General, during a dialogue with the UN Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC), highlighted some of the shared goals of ECO Vision 2025 and UN Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development.

The ECO Secretary General expressed the ECO’s readiness to work with the global as well as regional stakeholders to address the issues that hamper socio-economic progress of the region in the aftermath of the COVID-19. He specifically invited the international partners to join ECO for successful realization of its socio-economic projects in Afghanistan that would prove useful not only to Afghanistan and the ECO countries but also to the entire Eurasian region. H.E. Ambassador Noziri mentioned that there is a great potential for UNOSSC and ECO to collaborate on conducting important projects in the areas of mutual interest.
