The 10th Meeting of the Road Committee of Transit Transport Coordination Council (TTCC) was held virtually on 5th July, 2022 in Tehran co-organized by the ECO Secretariat and Iran Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization.

The 6th Meeting of the Heads of National Statistical Offices of ECO Member States/8th High Level Expert Group Meeting on Statistics was held on June 29, 2022 (in virtual mode) under the chairmanship of the Bureau of National Statistics of Agency of Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The High Level Expert Group Meeting to finalize the “Draft Plan of Action on Elimination of Covid-19 Pandemic Consequences in the Tourism Sector for Facilitating Recovery in the ECO Region” was organized in virtual format on 28 June 2022 under the chairmanship of ECO Secretariat. The meeting was attended by delegates from the ECO Member States’ representatives from Tourism Ministries including Iran, Kyrgyz Republic, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan.

The 265th Meeting of the ECO Council of Permanent Representatives (CPR) was held on June 27, 2022 in the ECO Secretariat under the Chairmanship of Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Islamic Republic of Iran and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan to ECO, H.E. Mr. Bakhodir Abdullayev.

On 27 June 2022, H.E. Amb. Khusrav NOZIRI, Secretary General of Economic Cooperation Organisation received H.E. Amb. Isiaka Abdulqadir Imam, Secretary General of D-8 Organisation of Economic Cooperation at ECO Secretariat, Tehran.

The 2nd Meeting of ECO-ICT Working Group was held virtually on 27th June, 2022 in Tehran which was jointly organized by the ECO Secretariat and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Drugs Control Headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran hosted a ceremony in Tehran on June 26, 2022 to mark the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking or World Drug Day. The event was attended by honorable President of the Islamic Republic of Iran H.E. Seyed Ebrahim Raeisi, Minister of Interior H.E. Mr. Ahmad Vahidi, Minister of Education H.E. Mr. Yousef Nouri, Minister of Sports and Youth H.E. Mr. Hamid Sajadi, other local dignitaries as well as the members of diplomatic community and the UN representative based in Iran.

It was shocking to learn about the tragic loss of precious human lives due to the devastating earthquake that struck the areas in Khost and Paktika provinces of Afghanistan on Wednesday.

On June 20-22, 2022 The Virtual Training Course on Basics of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Remote Sensing on Minerals jointly organized by the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Secretariat and the National Cartographic Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

On 22 June 2022, H.E. Guillermo Puente Ordorica, Ambassador of Mexico in Islamic Republic of Iran visited ECO Secretariat and was welcomed by H.E. Amb. Khusrav NOZIRI, Secretary General Economic Cooperation Organization.
