The 2nd Meeting of the ECO Working Group on Civil Aviation was held virtually on 10th May, 2022 in Tehran which was jointly organized by the ECO Secretariat and the Civil Aviation Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The ECO Secretary General, Ambassador Khusrav Noziri received the Director General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), Mr. Yerlan Baidaulet on May 9, 2022. The interaction held at the ECO Secretariat was to bilaterally discuss the possible ECO-IOFS cooperation on agricultural and food security matters.

The Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization, H.E. Ambassador Khusrav NOZIRI, met with the Ambassador of Kingdom of Thailand to Iran, H.E. Mr. Worawoot Pongprapapant, on 5th May, 2022 at the Royal Thai Embassy in Tehran. The Ambassador of Thailand extended a very warm welcome to the ECO Secretary General on visiting the Royal Thai Embassy.

A Virtual Meeting was held between the delegations of the UNCTAD and the ECO Secretariat, on April 28, 2022. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Zahid Hussain Abbasi, Director (Trade & Investment), ECO Secretariat. The UNCTAD delegation was headed by Ms. Chantal Dupasquier, Chief, Investment Policy Review Section.

On 27 April 2022 the 4th ECO Experts Group Meeting on Renewable Energy Sources was hosted virtually by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

On April 26, 2022, The Validation Meeting on the Projects in Minerals jointly organized by the Secretariat of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and the Geological Survey of Iran (GSI) and Experts from Tabriz University. The meeting was held virtually.

The 12th Meeting of High Level Working Group on Islamabad-Tehran-Istanbul (ITI) Train was held virtually on 25th April, 2022 in Tehran which was jointly organized by the ECO Secretariat and the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways (RAI).

The ECO Secretary General, H.E. Ambassador Khusrav Noziri received, in his office, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as the country's Permanent Representative to ECO, H.E. Mr. Nizomiddin Zohidi.

ECO Secretary General H.E. Amb. Khusrav Noziri received in his office the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as the country's Permanent Representative to ECO H.E. Mr. Rahim Hayat Qureshi. The interaction, held on April 17, 2022, covered discussion on, inter alia, some important ECO events planned to be held this year.

A virtual consultative bilateral meeting between the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) was held on April 14, 2022 to formulating a mechanism to further enhance collaboration between the two organizations. The meeting deliberated to propose and plan new prospects and joint activities in different areas of mutual interest including trade and investment, transport and communication, energy, climate change, and capacity building in line with the RCI of IsDB and ECO Vision 2025.
