On October 22, 2022, the Secretary General Economic Cooperation Organisation, H.E. Amb. Khusrav Noziri, participated in the International Conference on “Iran & IORA: Prospects and Opportunities”, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamic Republic of Iran.

The ECO Secretary General, H.E. Ambassador Khusrav Noziri attended a ceremony, organized on October 23, 2022 in Tehran, to mark the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA). On the sidelines of his participation in the event, Ambassador Noziri met with the Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Dr. Mahdi Safari.

Ms. Maryam Javan Shahraki, the representative of United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) field office, Tehran paid a courtesy call to H.E. Ambassador Khusrav Noziri, the ECO Secretary General on 19th October, 2022 in the ECO Secretariat. A delegation of ECO comprising Deputy Secretary General (AIT), Seyed Mohsen Esperi and the relevant directors also participated in the discussions.

In a meeting between H.E Noziri, ECO Secretary General and Mr. Umberto De Pretto Secretary General of International Road Transport Union (IRU) on 18 October, 2022 at the ECO Secretariat, the existing cooperation between the two organizations were reviewed and further expansion and deepening of relations were discussed.

On October 17, 2022, ECO Secretariat organized the 5th Consultation Meeting among the Heads of ECO Specialized Agencies in virtual format.

The opening ceremony of the 19th International Exhibition of Police Safety & Security Equipment was held in Tehran on 17 October, 2022. The aim of the exhibition was to introduce the capabilities of police of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Chief Commander, Brigadier General of Law Enforcement Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mr. Hossein Ashtari was the Chief Guest.

‎‏The ECO Secretary General, H.E. Amb. Khusrav Noziri, participated in the 6th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), held in Astana on 12-13 October, 2022.

The First meeting of the Sub-Working Group for Commercialization of the KTI Corridor was organized by the ECO Secretariat virtually on October 12, 2022.

The Secretary General of ECO, H.E Khusrav Noziri participated in the Ministerial Meeting on Transit Cooperation among Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan" that was organized by the Islamic Republic of Iran on 09 October 2022 in Tehran.

On the sidelines of his participation in the Regional Conference on Food Loss and Waste in Europe and Central Asia “Enabling the Change” held at Istanbul on October 5-6, 2022, the ECO Secretary General H.E. Ambassador Khusrav Noziri met with the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Türkiye H.E. Mr. Ebubekir Gizligider and the Assistant Director General of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Mr. Vladimir Olegovich Rakhmanin.
