On the invitation of the National Cultural Industries and Science and Technology Park of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the delegation of the Economic Cooperation Organization, headed by ECO Secretary General H.E. Ambassador Khusrav Noziri, participated in the opening ceremony of an International Cultural Tourism Exhibition organized in the Kish Island on September 5-6, 2022. A number of other important invitees, including the Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Iran, the Ambassadors of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan in Tehran, Representatives of the Embassies of Türkiye, Pakistan and Japan, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran attended the event.

Within the framework of the “International Cultural Tourism Exhibition”, the ECO Secretary General H.E. Ambassador Khusrav Noziri along with the accompanied members of his delegation visited the Kish Free Zone Organization (KFZO) on September 6, 2022.

The 6th Meeting of Editorial Board of the ECO Economic Journal (EB-EEJ) was held on August 31, 2022. The Members of the ECO Editorial Board from the Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, I.R. Iran, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Türkiye and Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the event.

The 1st Meeting of ECO Heads of Capital Markets Supervisory Authorities was virtually hosted by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on 29th August 2022. The delegates from Republic of Azerbaijan, Islamic Republic of Iran, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Türkiye, Turkmenistan and Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the meeting. The delegation of the ECO Secretariat headed by Deputy Secretary General, Ambassador Seyed Mohsen Esperi also attended the Meeting.

A consultative zoom meeting between the Economic Cooperation Organization and the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) was held on 23rd August 2022.
During the meeting, while GSTC was represented by Mr. Ioannis Pappas, GSTC Director for Mediterranean Region and Mr. CB Ramkumar, GSTC Regional Director of South Asia, the ECO Secretariat delegation was headed by Mr. Jasur Rajabov, Director for Tourism.

The Tourism Directorate of the ECO Secretariat had a meeting with Mr. Mohsen Esmaeily, Executive Director of ECO Cultural Institute (ECI) on 22 August, 2022 at ECI Headquarters in Tehran.
The ways and means to develop and expand the cooperation between ECO and ECI, as well as information sharing on tourism and culture were discussed during the meeting.

On 21 August 2022, a delegation from the National Management College (NMC) of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan visited ECO Secretariat as a part of study tour. The visiting delegation comprised senior members of civil bureaucracy of Pakistan.

At the invitation of the Government of Turkmenistan and the UNOHRLLS, the ECO Secretary General, H.E. Ambassador Khusrav Noziri, virtually participated at the Ministerial Transport Conference of Landlocked Developing Countries held in Awaza on August 15-16, 2022 dedicated to the connectivity of landlocked countries. The Conference was chaired by H.E. Mr. Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

At the invitation of the Government of Turkmenistan and the UNOHRLLS, the Deputy Secretary General of ECO co-chaired the Ministerial Transport Conference of Landlocked Developing Countries held in Awaza on August 15-16, 2022. The Conference was chaired by H.E. Mr. Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

On 3 August 2022, H.E. Dr. Syed Komail Tayebi, President of the ECO-Science Foundation (ECOSF) was received by H.E. Amb. Khusrav Noziri, Secretary General Economic Cooperation Organisation at the ECO Secretariat.
