The ECO Secretariat, the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) and the Department of Statistics of Malaysia (DOSM) jointly organized an online training course on “SDG13 Climate Action Indicators” on December 19-20, 2023.
ECO Deputy Secretary General Ambassador Jandos Asanov conveyed the 16th ECO Summit’s emphasis on the need to tackle the climate change, in his opening remarks of the course, while also maintaining that the ECO member states are under heavy impact of climate change –such as water shortage, desertification and others, affecting daily lives of people.
