The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), will be organizing a two-day workshop on “Combating Trafficking in Persons and Human Smuggling in the ECO Region” on July 29-30, 2024, at the ECO Secretariat in Tehran.
This workshop aims to bring together experts, policymakers and practitioners from relevant regional and international organizations, as well as ECO member countries. The participants will delve into the critical issues surrounding human trafficking, discussing root causes and challenges in combating this menace. Additionally, they will share knowledge, best practices and insights on the prevention, protection and prosecution of human trafficking.
