A group of Japanese university students visited ECO on February 28. Organized jointly by the Sasakawa Peace Foundation and the School of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Islamic Republic of Iran, the visit aimed at familiarizing the exchange students with ECO.
Welcoming the students, the ECO Secretary General Ambassador Khusrav Noziri briefed them about the founding background, objectives, structure and working mechanisms of the Organization.
The visiting students were also given comprehensive presentations on ECO’s sectoral activities by Mr. Zahid Hussain Abbasi, Director for Trade & Investment as well as Mr. Uktam Shomurotov, Program Officer for Transport & Communications.
A question and answer session was also held to make explanations on queries of the students during the briefing.
