The 3rd Meeting of the ECO Tour Operators Network was held virtually on 29 May 2023. Attended by the members of the Network and the representatives of the ECO Secretariat, the meeting aimed at increasing engagement and communication among the members.
Travel agencies and tour operators discussed on the next steps of the development joint tour packages. Ecotourism, Ziyarat tourism, Cultural and Silk Road tourism were considered as priority areas in this regard. It was agreed that each tour operator will prepare its own tour packages and share with the members of the Network for consideration. The volunteering coordinators from Member countries will then converse with the members of the Network in order to develop proposals for joint tour packages.
The meeting also discussed the ways to enhance regional tourism and to promote tourism destinations in the ECO Member Countries. The participants decided that in each meeting of the Network, three tour operators will make presentations about their activities, tour packages and lesser known tourism destinations in their countries.
