The ECO Council of Permanent Representatives (CPR) convened an informal meeting to honour ECO Secretary General Ambassador Khusrav Noziri, who concludes his term on August 12, 2024.
During the gathering, the Permanent Representatives to ECO from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan, alongside Representatives from Pakistan and Turkmenistan, expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation for Ambassador Noziri’s exemplary service and significant contributions to the Organization throughout his tenure.
Ambassador Noziri conveyed his heartfelt thanks to the esteemed Representatives for their constructive engagement and robust support to ECO during his term in office. He also shared his optimism for the ECO’s future, wishing for continued progress and enhanced cooperation for greater economic integration in the region.
The meeting highlighted the vital role of the ECO Secretariat in fostering regional collaboration, reflecting the collective aspirations of the Member States. Additionally, the gathering welcomed the Ambassador of Azerbaijan, who has resumed his responsibilities in Tehran following a pause since January 2023.
