On November 19, 2023, a delegation comprising Ambassador of Finland in Iran H.E Mr. Kari Kahiluoto and Finland Roving Ambassador for Central Asia H.E Mr Ilkka Râisânen visited the ECO Secretariat and met with the ECO Secretary General Ambassador Khusrav Noziri.
The Secretary General briefed the visiting dignitaries about ECO’s activities in transport and connectivity including establishment and management of Corridors, the TTFA, technical workshops and capacity building, feasibility study projects, development of regional connectivity through partnership with various international partners, as well as joint projects and various corridors connecting the Central Asia to the international markets.
The potential areas of cooperation between Finland and ECO specially on transport, food security, water management, agriculture and climate change were also discussed during the meeting and it was agreed to continue consultations on formulating future cooperation.
