The 273rd Meeting of the ECO Council of Permanent Representatives (CPR) was held on February 27, at the ECO Headquarters.
Chaired by the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ambassador Ali Alizade, the meeting discussed various issues placed on its agenda concerning the development and progress of the Organization, including the decisions and recommendations made by the 26th COM Meeting in Tashkent. Moreover, the CPR went over the ECO Work Program and Calendar of Events 2023 with a view to prioritizing the most significant activities of the ECO.
The Meeting also bade a farewell to the Permanent Representative of Türkiye to ECO and Country’s Ambassador to Iran H.E. Mr. Derya Örs who was supposed to leave Tehran after completion of his four years’ diplomatic assignment.
Seeing off the dignitary, the ECO Secretary General Ambassador Khusrav Noziri and the Members of CPR acknowledged, with thanks, the contribution of Ambassador Örs to support and develop the ECO and its agenda of regional cooperation, as well as for facilitating the CPR’s proceedings.
In his final remarks, Ambassador Örs thanked the ECO Secretary General and the Member States for their kind cooperation and encouragement throughout his stay in Tehran and affiliation with the Organization.
