On February 14, 2024, an ECO delegation headed by Dr. Husnu Tekin, Director for Human Resource & Sustainable Development visited the WHO Country Office in Tehran to explore potential avenues of their mutual cooperation.
Welcoming the delegation, the WHO Country Representative and Head of Mission, Dr Syed Jaffar Hussain highlighted the recent constructive exchanges between ECO and the WHO Iran Office, notably during the revision process of the ECO Plan of Action on Health.
During discussions, Dr. Tekin emphasized ECO’s commitment to health-related initiatives, shedding light on the organization’s overarching mission and key mandates in the health sector.
