Virtually attending the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Sustainable Transport: Contribution to Sustainable Development” held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan on November 26, the ECO Secretary General Ambassador Khusrav Noziri emphasized the importance of sustainability in greater regional and global connectivity.
Underscoring the role of Turkmenistan in international promotion and awareness of the sector, Ambassador Noziri stressed the collective need of prioritizing worldwide transport and connectivity cooperation. He also acknowledged the significance of declaring November 26 as the “World Sustainable Transport Day” on the initiative of Turkmenistan, considering the achievement that will increase public awareness on transport and connectivity, which is fundamentally important to maintain sustainable progress of the nations.
