The Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), Ambassador Khusrav Noziri attended the 22nd Annual Board of Governor’s Meeting of the ECO Trade and Development Bank on June 23, 2023.
Addressing the event, Ambassador Noziri underscored the importance of expanded regional collaboration for a shared socioeconomic development in the ECO Region. In this context, he emphasized for a more concerted approach to attain the targets as envisaged in the ECO Vision 2025, boosting the region’s economic profile and enhancing its share to the global trade. Highlighting various initiatives of the ECO mainly in trade, transport, energy, tourism sectors, the ECO Secretary General encouraged the ETDB to finance ECO projects, aimed at developing regional infrastructure. He also underlined the efforts of the ECO with regard to expanding membership of the bank.
