ECO Tourism Directorate met with Iranian tour operator Iran Markaz on May 10, 2023. While welcoming the guest, Mr. Jasur Rajabov, Director for Tourism of ECO briefed him about initiatives and activities carried out in the framework of the ECO Tour Operators Network.
The meeting reviewed potential ways to promote the ECO Region as one of the best tourism destinations as well as to increase involment of private sector and local communities in tourism activities. The sides also exchanged views on holding the First ECO International Tourism Market Fair, organizing business-to-business meetings for private tourism stakeholders of ECO Member Countries, and developing joint tour packages to attract more tourists into the region.
