The awarding ceremony was held in the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting’s (IRIB) international conference hall, with the presence of the Honourable President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi and the Minister of Science Mohammad-Ali Zolfigol.
The ECO Head of Section for Coordination and Follow-up, Mr. Sukhrob Mirzoaliev represented the ECO Secretariat during the ceremony.
The KIA is a research award given annually by the President of Iran to each 10 senior and 10 young researchers upon their selection by the Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (IROST). The founding purpose of KIA is to honour and encourage the individuals who appear to be making outstanding contributions and achievements related to invention and innovation as well as research in the fields of science and technology.
