The ECO Secretary General, His Excellency Ambassador Khusrav Noziri visited the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan in Tehran, H.E. Prof. Nizomiddin Zohidi on September 6, 2021.
Ambassador Zohidi, while congratulating the Secretary General for his new assignment, assured Tajikistan's strong determination to actively engage in implementation of the agenda of the Organization aimed at prosperity, progress and wellbeing of the ECO Region.
The two sides also exchanged views regarding ECO-Tajikistan cooperation in various fields.
The Secretary General commended Tajikistan side on successfully hosting two ECO Events on tourism, namely “Dushanbe – ECO Tourism Capital for the years 2020-2021” and International forum “Agrotourism Development” on August 29-30, 2021.
