The Secretary General of the ECO, H.E. Dr. Hadi Soleimanpour met with Secretary General of Shanghai Cooperation Organization, H.E. Mr. Vladimir Norov.
During the meeting the two sides exchanged views on establishment of close cooperation between the two organizations, bearing in mind common goals and objectives of the two organizations in many key areas such as economy and trade, transportation, energy, environment and tourism.
The two parties reviewed the implementation of MOU signed in Ashgabat on 11th December 2007 and agreed to prepare a Work Programme to implement the MOU, and holding mutual consultations on regular basis.
