On 23 November 2022, the workshop on “Sharing Best Practices on SME Support and Evaluation Mechanisms”, was virtually jointly organized by the ECO Secretariat and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB), Republic of Tأ¼rkiye.
On 23 November 2022, the workshop on “Sharing Best Practices on SME Support and Evaluation Mechanisms”, was virtually jointly organized by the ECO Secretariat and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB), Republic of Türkiye.
The online event was attended by the delegates of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Türkiye, and the Republic of Uzbekistan. The participants exchanged information on the initiatives launched by their respective Governments regarding implementing SME Policies and promoting business-friendly practices.
The main purpose of the workshop was to provide an avenue to exchange information on issues pertaining to SMEs and entrepreneurship in the Member States and to discuss prospects of strengthening regional cooperation.
A the end of the meeting, the ECO Member States touched upon the potential of SMEs to promote sustainable economic development and to raise the living standards of the people of the region. The participants appreciated the forward-looking SME policies of Member States and welcomed the joint proposal of holding such events frequently and regularly.
