The ECO Secretary General Ambassador Khusrav Noziri and the Secretary General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Intergovernmental Commission TRACECA Mr. Asset Assavbayev held a meeting on the sidelines of the 12th ECO Ministerial Meeting on Transport in Tashkent, on November 02, 2023.
Aimed at discussing the issues of mutual interest and expansion of cooperation between the two sides especially on transport and connectivity sector, the bilateral meeting emphasized on joint regional development and mulled over the areas and prospects, including implementing joint projects, organizing a study tour through the territories of Turkmenistan-Iran-Türkiye and other countries, harmonization of legislation, and conducting joint projects in the field of railway transport, as well as preparation of action plan for joint “Green Transport.
The meeting concluded with a common understanding of ensuring greater connectivity and integration with continued cooperation, support and working relationship of both organizations.
