A delegation of the ECO Secretariat, headed by the ECO Secretary General Amb. Khusrav Noziri, visited Pardis Technology Park on 5th January 2022, on the invitation of the President of the Park Mr. Mahdi Safarinia. The delegation comprised Mr. Mohsen Esperi, the Deputy Secretary General and Mr. Zahid Hussain Abbasi, the ECO Director for Trade and Investment.

A delegation of the ECO Secretariat, headed by the ECO Secretary General Amb. Khusrav Noziri, visited Pardis Technology Park on 5th January 2022, on the invitation of the President of the Park Mr. Mahdi Safarinia. The delegation comprised Mr. Mohsen Esperi, the Deputy Secretary General and Mr. Zahid Hussain Abbasi, the ECO Director for Trade and Investment.

The ECO delegation was briefed by the team of Pradis Technology Park about the operation of Iran Silicon Valley. A presentation was given to the delegation on proposed possible collaboration among the relevant organizations of the ECO Member States working in these areas through the platform of the ECO. The Secretary General, whilst welcoming the proposal for collaboration explained the process for collaboration under the auspices of the ECO, assured fullest cooperation of the Secretariat in the initiative. He also elaborated the project-oriented approach of the Secretariat with focus on result-oriented outcomes.

During the briefing, the two sides discussed a number of important proposals related to innovation, capacity building, policy harmonization and collaboration among the ECO Member States in the ECO region for promotion of knowledge based innovation and technological advancement in the region.

The visiting delegation was taken to various facilities in the Pardis Technology Park to see the activities and the products produced through technological innovation. In conclusion of the meeting, the Secretary General thanked the President of the Pardis Technology Park and his team for the detailed briefing and expressed readiness of the Secretariat to further cooperate in areas of mutual interest of ECO Secretariat and Pardis Technology Park.
