Economic Cooperation Organization

The newly appointed Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Iran and the country’s Permanent Representative to the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), H.E. Mr. Turdakun Sydykov presented his credentials to the ECO Secretary General, H.E. Dr. Hadi Soleimanpour on August 3, 2021.

The newly appointed Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Iran and the country’s Permanent Representative to the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), H.E. Mr. Turdakun Sydykov presented his credentials to the ECO Secretary General, H.E. Dr. Hadi Soleimanpour on August 3, 2021.
While warmly welcoming the dignitary, the ECO Secretary General extended deep felicitations to Ambassador Turdakun Sydykov for assumption of his new responsibilities. Dr. Soleimanpour briefed the visiting envoy about some latest developments in the ECO, including successful finalization of the organization’s overdue reform process and the recently adopted project-oriented approach. Emphasizing on the significance of strong regional cooperation for faster progress and economic growth in the region as well as the fundamentally important role of the ECO Member States to this end, the ECO Secretary General expressed his sincere felicity over the Kyrgyz government’s renewed desire and intention to be actively engaged in the ECO’s future endeavors, particularly, the trade negotiation process and functionalization of ECO corridors, aimed at giving a fresh impetus to the mutually beneficial economic activities in the region.
Ambassador Turdakun Sydykov thanked the Secretary General for briefing him on certain issues of regional importance and acknowledged the excellent and invaluable services of Dr. Soleimanpour’s rendered to the ECO for securing the organization’s envisioned aims and objectives. He further assured of his full cooperation and contribution to support the ECO’s agenda of mutual progress, prosperity and development in the region.
