A 19th Meeting of the Project Monitoring Group (PMG) was held on September 12, 2023 at the ECO Secretariat.
Attended by delegates of the Embassies of ECO Member Countries in Tehran and the ECO Secretary General along with relevant officials of the Secretariat, the meeting reviewed project-based sectoral activities of the Organization, evaluating the implementation status of some important ECO programs and projects.
Chairing the event, ECO Secretary General underlined the importance of efficient project management and strong inter-coordination in the Secretariat, stressing the need to identify and address issues in projects development and implementation, including administrative, technical and budgetary ones.
Looking into the maximum possibilities for securing projects funding from regional and global partners, the representatives of the Member States believed that regular PMG Meetings would intensify ECO’s project implementation and development activities.
