On November 11, 2021, the Representatives of ECO Regional Institute for Standardization, Conformity Assessment, Accreditation and Metrology (ECO-RISCAM) paid a courtesy call on H.E. Secretary General of ECO Ambassador Khusrav NOZIRI, at the ECO Secretariat. Mr.. Gholamreza Shariati, President of the Iranian National Standards Organization and Expert of International and Regional Standardization Group (RISCAM), as well as the concerned ECO Deputy Secretary General attended the meeting. The ways and means for early operationalization of ECO-RISCAM and other important issues were on the anvil. H.E. Secretary General of ECO appreciated the activities of ECO-RISCAM and acknowledged ECO's commitment and support in this regard.
The President of the Iranian National Standards Organization specially extended an invitation to the Secretary General ECO for a field visit which was welcomed by the Secretary General. The ECO Vision 2025 mandated the ECO-RISCAM to work for developing industrial standards and encouraging of green industries.
