ECO Secretary General, Ambassador Asad M. Khan, attended the pre-Kish Expo event at Espinas Palace Hotel, emphasizing Kish Island’s role as a Free Trade Zone and hub for regional collaboration. He highlighted the 1st International Kish Expo (January 18–24, 2025) as a platform for innovation, with participants from 40+ countries.
Ambassador Khan underlined the importance of such events in fostering business networking opportunities and showcasing the untapped potential of the ECO region. He reiterated ECO’s readiness to create and collaborate in similar initiatives that drive regional integration and economic growth.
Additionally, he called for enhanced trade connectivity across key sectors and proposed hosting the 3rd ECO Trade Fair in partnership with KISHEXPO, reinforcing ECO’s commitment to promoting joint economic development in the region.
