The Secretariat of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) hosted a delegation of Japanese and Iranian students as part of an orientation visit arranged by the School of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran and the Sasakawa Peace Foundation.
ECO Secretary General Dr. Asad M. Khan, welcomed the students and provided an overview of the organization’s objectives, structure and key initiatives of the Organization. He highlighted ECO’s role in enhancing economic cooperation among member states and advancing regional development.
During the visit, ECO directors delivered sector-specific presentations covering crucial areas such as trade, transport, energy, environment, agriculture, industry and tourism. These sessions offered the students insights into ECO’s initiatives, policies and ongoing projects aimed at fostering economic growth and regional integration.
The visit concluded with an interactive discussion, enabling students to engage with ECO officials and gain a deeper understanding of ECO and its regional cooperation efforts.
