On 30 September 2025, the National Cartographic Center (NCC) of Iran, jointly with the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), organized the Technical Meeting on Implementation Challenges and Collaborative Solutions of the Global Statistical Geospatial Framework (GSGF) in a virtual mode.
The meeting brought together the experts from national statistical offices and geospatial agencies of ECO Member States to exchange views on effective geospatial and statistical integration through GSGF. The sessions featured in-depth discussions and insights on sharing strategies and overcoming barriers to GSGF adoption. The outcomes are expected to contribute to creating a more integrated data ecosystem in the ECO region to support evidence-based policy-making.
The NCC, in collaboration with the ECO Secretariat, continues to lead initiatives aimed at enhancing the capacity of the Member States in geospatial data management.
