On 30 October 2025, the ECO Seed Association (ECOSA) held its seventh online session in the series Current Status of Seed Sectors and Investment Opportunities of ECOSA Member Countries, showcasing the seed sector of the Republic of Tajikistan. The meeting brought together around 50 participants from both public and private sectors across the ECO region.
The session featured a comprehensive presentation by Mr. Abduroziqzoda Lutfullo Davlat, Deputy Head of the Department of International Relations, Science, and Implementation of Scientific Achievements at the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan, titled Current Status and Prospects of Seed Production in Tajikistan.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Can Aygül, Director for Agriculture and Industry at the ECO Secretariat, welcomed participants and highlighted Tajikistan’s agrarian economy, progress in its seed sector, recent international partnerships, and the importance of regional collaboration to meet national seed demand.
The next monthly ECOSA session will focus on the seed sector of Türkiye and is scheduled for November 2025.
