The central focus of the meeting was the new vision of the Economic Cooperation Organization for 2035, with particular emphasis on the Roadmap for the Expansion of Tourism Services for 2026–2030, which will serve as the core implementation framework for tourism development during the next five-year period under the “Strategic Goals of Economic Cooperation – 2035.”
Member States agreed that the roadmap will be fully aligned with the priority areas, policy directions, and regional commitments defined in the new ECO Vision, ensuring coherence and a coordinated approach with a more mature content and structure across the region.
The meeting further reviewed a number of recommendations to enhance the future work of ECO-ACT, focusing on the need for a more coordinated, holistic, and results-oriented approach. Delegations emphasized the importance of collaboration between national tourism authorities, private sector stakeholders, and relevant ECO bodies to ensure effective execution of regional tourism initiatives.
