The Host Country Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Clean Energy Center of the Economic Cooperation Organization (CECECO) was signed on 2 December 2025.
The agreement lays down the legal status and privileges of CECECO in pursuance of its Charter. It enables CECECO to discharge its functions and responsibilities effectively by regulating the relations between the Center and the Host Country. The agreement was signed by Mr. Parviz Shahbazov, Minister of Energy on behalf of the Government of Azerbaijan, and Ms. Aysel Yagubova, Executive Director of CECECO.
The Centre, which was operationalized in 2025, responds to the multiple climate, energy and development needs of the ECO Member States while creating a conducive environment for regional sustainable energy markets and investments.
