The newly appointed Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to ECO, H.E. Mr. Alireza Toutounchian presented his letter of credence to the ECO Secretary General Dr. Asad M. Khan.
Welcoming Mr. Toutounchian, who serves as the Director General for Multilateral and International Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, the ECO Secretary General wished him the best for his new assignment. Expressing Iran’s strong commitment to advance regional cooperation under ECO, Mr. Toutounchian also assured his support for the Organization.
Their interaction then reviewed achievements of the Organization during 2025, and discussed some important upcoming activities planned for 2026.
