The Secretary General and the Secretariat of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) express their profound sorrow and heartfelt condolences on the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
On this tragic occasion, we extend our deepest sympathies and sincere condolences to the bereaved family, the Government, and the noble people of the Islamic Republic of Iran. We stand in solidarity with them during this difficult time of mourning and loss.
The ECO Secretariat also expresses its deep concern over the violation of the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the resulting escalation, which poses a serious threat to the security and stability of the entire ECO region.
We hope that wisdom, restraint, and dialogue will prevail to safeguard peace, stability, and cooperation in the region.
