The 3rd Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Think-Tank Forum convened in Baku, focusing on the theme “Next Generation Economics: Challenges and Perspectives.”

Distinguished economists and experts from ECO member states, as well as several other countries, participated in the forum, engaging in in-depth discussions and analyses of current economic trends and developments.

During his address, the ECO Deputy Secretary General, Ambassador Jandos Asanov, commended the Republic of Azerbaijan for its significant contributions to advancing the goals and objectives of the ECO. He further highlighted that Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, has been designated as the Tourism Capital of the Organization for 2026.  Ambassador Asanov also expressed his confidence that the forthcoming establishment of the ECO Economic Research Centre (ECO-ERC) in Baku will transform it into a leading think-tank within the ECO region, further strengthening economic research and cooperation across member states.

The forum was jointly organized by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Economic Scientific Research Institute (ESRI) under the Ministry, and the ECO Secretariat.
