A tripartite meeting was held at the ECO Secretariat featuring ECO Secretary General Dr. Asad M. Khan, H.E. Sidi Mohamed Mohamed Radhi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, and H.E. Saliou Niang Dieng, Ambassador of the Republic of Senegal.
The discussion focused on exploring ways for ECO and African Union to exchange best practices and learn from each other’s experiences in advancing regional trade, transport and economic integration.
The meeting concluded with agreements to convene the African Group in Tehran for a briefing session on February 17, 2025, engage the AU Secretariat through ECO Ambassadors in Addis Ababa, and organize joint workshops to exchange best practices.
