The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) hosted a dinner reception at the ECO Cultural Institute for delegates attending the International Workshop on Human Smuggling and Trafficking in Persons.
Speaking to the participants, ECO Secretary General Khusrav Noziri and IOM Mission Chief in Iran Lalini Veerassamy emphasized regional cooperation to combat human trafficking and smuggling. The event included a video on human trafficking and a musical performance by artists from Zahedan.
The Workshop, being organized on July 29-30 at the ECO Secretariat, has gathered experts and officials to share strategies and best practices in combating these crimes.
