The Secretariats of the ECO and the International Road Union (IRU) held, on 11 December 2025, the second online meeting of the Working Group on the ECO-IRU Action Plan 2026-2027. Headed by ECO Director for Transport & Communications, Amb. S. Jalaledin Alavi Sabzevari, and IRU Director for TIR & Transit, Ms. Tatiana Rey-Bellet, the two sides discussed joint implementation of the Action Plan. They also shared prospects on the application of eTIR and TIR/TIR-EPD green lanes/windows across the ECO corridors and border crossing points.
Both sides agreed to continue their regular meetings and exchanges, and engage relevant ECO Member States and potential partners as and when necessary.
