The Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), Ambassador Khusrav Noziri met with the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Mr. Kubanychbek Omuraliev on January 24, 2023.
The bilateral interaction held on the sidelines of the 26th Meeting of the ECO Council of Ministers (COM) in Tashkent reviewed the ECO-OTS cooperation, exploring the scope of future activities and collaboration between the two Organizations based on their mutual interest and advantage.
The two sides, inter alia, refreshed their joint commitment for working in different development areas and agreed to be more coordinated with a view to avoiding exclusive initiation or application of any identical initiatives. They further emphasized the need for updating the existing ECO-OTC MoU to make it more relevant and aligned with the emerging regional requirements.
