ECO and Tajikistan have agreed to further enhance the existing level of cooperation on disaster resilience projects within the ECO Regional Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction. This was agreed during a meeting between ECO Deputy Secretary General Mr. Kashif Zaman and the Chairman of Tajikistan Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defence, Mr. Rustam Nazarzoda, held on the sidelines of 80th Session of UNESCAP in Bangkok, on April 24, 2024.
ECO Deputy Secretary General appreciated the active role of Republic of Tajikistan in various regional projects especially those related to the disaster risk management.
