The ECO Chairmanship is rotated amongst the Member States at the beginning of each year based on an alphabetical order.
Currently, the Republic of Kazakhstan holds the ECO Chairmanship, effective from January 1, 2025.
The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, H.E. Mr. Yermek KOSHERBAYEV, is the existing Chairman of the ECO Council of Ministers (COM).
Ambassador Ontalap Onalbayev is the current Chairman of the ECO Council of Permanent Representatives (CPR).
