An ECO delegation headed by Director for Human Resources and Sustainable Development (HRSD), Mr. Husnu Tekin attended the First Disaster Management Conference titled: “Strong Iran” on February 14, 2023.
The First Vice President of Iran, H.E. Mr. Mohammad Mokhber as well as the Country’s Interior Minister, H.E. Mr. Ahmad Vahidi jointly inaugurated the gathering at the National Defense Museum of Iran. The event that brought together a number of representatives from different organizations was aimed at educating the participants about the responsive techniques and methods to manage with the conditions under natural disasters.
The Conference mulled over the core objectives of crisis management with a view to identifying and prioritizing disaster threats to meet any such challenges through feasible policy, planning and strategy, focusing on the recent earthquakes in Iran, Türkiye and Syria.
