An ECO Delegation attended the opening of the 78th UNGA Session’s general debate preceded by SDG Summit on September 19, 2023.
The SDG Summit gathered, including from ECO nations, the Heads of State and Government at the UN Headquarters for a comprehensive review of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), impact of the complex and many-sided crises facing the world, as well as the world leaders’ political guidance on ways and means to speed up accomplishing the UN 2030 global agenda.
During the event, the UN Secretary General Mr. Antonio Guterres stressed the need for a collectively more responsive and determined action of the global community to address some unavoidably important issues, including the provision of clean, healthy and sustainable environment to the globe.
