ECO Deputy Secretary General Mr. Kashif Zaman met with Uzbekistan Minister for Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Mr. Kungirotboy Sharipov on the sidelines of Global Youth Festival in Tashkent. The meeting discussed ways to enhance regional cooperation in the field of science and education.
Mr. Zaman congratulated the Minister on the successful conduct of the Youth Festival and the warm hospitality been extended to the visiting delegates. He appreciated Uzbekistan’s contribution in ECO’s various projects and the progress achieved in the field of education. He also invited Uzbekistan to join ECO Specialized Agencies particularly the ECO Educational Institute and ECO Science Foundation.
