ECO Secretary General Ambassador Khusrav Noziri participated in the 6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, taking place in Baku from May 1 – 3, 2024.

Themed “Dialogue for Peace and Global Security: Cooperation and Interconnectivity,” the Forum aims to advance global peace and security imperatives.

During the opening ceremony, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan H.E. Ilham Aliyev highlighted the Forum’s role in strengthening partnership, solidarity and cooperation among cultures. President Aliyev emphasized Azerbaijan’s commitment to fostering intercultural peace and dialogue, citing the country’s rich multicultural heritage. He also underlined Azerbaijan’s initiatives to develop transport projects facilitating cultural exchange and supporting regional stability.

Organized by the Azerbaijani government in partnership with UNESCO, the UN Alliance of Civilizations, the UN World Tourism Organization (WTO), the Council of Europe, and the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), the Forum brought together high-ranking officials from over 100 countries and 30 international organizations.
