The ECO Secretariat lowered the Organization’s flag (s) to half-mast to honour the the tragic loss of Iranian President H.E. Mr. Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister and ECO Chair H.E. Dr. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in a helicopter crash on Monday 20, 2024.
In a solemn ceremony held at the Secretariat, Secretary General Ambassador Khusrav Noziri highlighted the dedication and significant contributions of the late Iranian President and Foreign Minister to Iran. He emphasized their roles in enhancing cooperation and development within the ECO region through their widely acclaimed leadership. Ambassador Noziri also extended heartfelt condolences and expressed solidarity with the people of Iran during this difficult time.
