The Tourism Directorate of the ECO Secretariat and USHAŞ (International Health Services Incorporation) of Türkiye held a consultative meeting on potential cooperation in the field of health tourism, on November 14, 2023.
One of the priorities identified in the ECO Vision 2025 is the diversification of the tourism sector in the ECO Member States. ECO has undertaken initiatives on health tourism to foster provision of high quality services and to promote the health tourism prospects of the region. In light of these efforts, discussions have been held with the representatives from USHAŞ, a Turkish public company operating in the field of health tourism. The sides expressed desire for continued communication to explore potential joint actions, including co-organization of some events and promotion of medical tourism destinations in the region.
