A delegation from the ECO Secretariat’s Directorate for Agriculture and Industry participated in the 16th Nanotechnology and Microtechnology Exhibition of Iran, organized by the International Scientific and Technological Cooperation Development Organization of the Office of the President.
Mr. Can Aygul, Director for Agriculture and Industry, attended the Iran Nano Export Award Ceremony, which recognized 15 leading exporters for their role in promoting Iran’s nanotechnology products and expanding international markets. By the end of 2024, 401 companies had commercialized 1,735 nanoproducts certified under the NanoScale program, generating USD 183 million in exports to 63 countries.
Running from 2–5 November 2025 at the Tehran Permanent International Fairground, the exhibition brings together over 150 companies and 80 advanced-technology products. The ECO Secretariat also emphasized the importance of establishing a regional nanotechnology network to foster innovation, knowledge exchange, and industrial cooperation across the ECO region.
