Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization, Dr. Asad M. Khan, participated in the official opening ceremony of the Regional Environmental Summit in Astana, which was inaugurated by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Summit participants include heads of state from Central Asian countries, leaders of Armenia, Georgia, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, heads of relevant UN specialized agencies, and representatives of international organizations.
Organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan under the theme “Shared Vision for a Sustainable Future.” the Summit underscores the importance of enhanced regional dialogue and joint efforts toward environmental sustainability.
