ECO Participates in the 1st North -South Transport, Trade and Logistics Forum
ECO Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Kashif Zaman represented the organisation in the 1st NorthSouth Transport, Trade and Logistics Forum in Aktau, Kazakhstan.
Forum participants discussed the development of railway and road transport
routes, port development and other logistics issues.
The ECO Deputy Secretary General highlighted the role of technological advancement in reducing the cost of railway construction and enhancing the effectiveness of transportation and logistics operations along the ECO corridors. He hoped the meeting would contribute to the socio-economic development, prosperity and integration of the ECO region.
The forum was attended by representatives of government bodies and quasi-governmental organizations, business circles, railway administrations, manufacturers, exporters, transport and logistics and other companies.
