The ECO Deputy Secretary General, Ambassador Silapberdi Nurberdiyev, participated in the 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF2025) from April 11 to 13, 2025, in Antalya, Türkiye. The Forum aimed to evaluate systemic problems in the multilateral order and foster dialogue on reclaiming diplomacy as a stabilizing force amid global divisions. It sought to inspire collaboration among leaders and stakeholders to redefine diplomatic principles, address contemporary challenges, and enhance regional cooperation for peace and collective action.
Ambassador Nurberdiyev attended panel sessions on multilateral diplomacy and regional cooperation, convening with global leaders, policymakers, and representatives from various sectors to explore how diplomacy can navigate a fragmented world. Discussions focused on redefining the principles of diplomacy and addressing root causes of global challenges, with an emphasis on innovative tools for conflict resolution and regional cooperation.
He also held high-level discussions with key officials, including the Minister of Transportation of Kazakhstan, the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Director General for International Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye. These talks centered on enhancing regional connectivity and trade. The Ambassador underscored the critical importance of transport and connectivity, highlighting the significance of upcoming high-level ECO events, including the1st ECO Forum on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)and theMinisterial Meetings on Transport and Trade, and extended invitations for active participation.
